Liz Heslop-Shumake
works mainly in acrylics, pastels, charcoals and oils. She has taken her love of animals to provide proud owners an opportunity to have their furry friend commemorated in a piece of art. Liz also is commissioned for human portraits, too!
Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, she has resided in Hilton Head Island since 1996. Liz has been a member of the Hilton Head Art League and Bluffton Art League. She has shown her work in private venues, as well as being accepted to the Hilton Head Art League Juried Show, the MacDonough Works on Paper Competition in Youngstown, Ohio and the "A Room With A View" exhibit in Akron.
Prior to moving to South Carolina, Liz was a graduate of Firestone High School in 1988, and attended Kenyon College and later graduated from the University of Akron with a B.F.A., majoring in painting. Along with her fine art, she also works as a graphic artist.
